A Candlelight Vigil Dedicated to Women Who Died as a Result of Domestic Violence
Dear all, on October 1, “National Day to Combat Domestic Violence”, a candlelight vigil dedicated to women who died as a result of domestic violence will be held in front of the V. Achemyan Drama Theater from 13:00-15:00.
On October 1, 2010, 20-year-old Zaruhi Petrosyan died as a result of her husband’s brutal beating. Since then, women’s rights organizations have highlighted that day as the National Day to Combat Domestic Violence.
The sign in the picture symbolizes the desire to create an environment where violence is no longer tolerated, and the purple represents peace, courage and personal dedication to domestic violence awareness.
We will wait for all of you with love.
