January 27 was the closing event of the “Women human rights defenders stepping up against gender-based violence in Armenia” project , which was implemented by the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Women. The Women’s Rights House, a member of the Coalition, also participated in the event.
During the meeting, we introduced the results of the project and the sub-grants, one of which was implemented by the Women’s Rights House, which was two months of graphic design training courses for 5 women and girls, after which all participants were provided with the graphical tablets to work from home. We are pleased to announce that 2 women out of 5 are currently working and have achieved some financial independence, and the other 3 are currently looking for a job.
It’s worth mentioning that the “Women human rights defenders stepping up against gender-based violence in Armenia” (2020-2022) project was implemented by the Coalition to Stop Violence against Women with funding from the European Union.
