Today, the first meeting within the framework of the “Engaging Shirak’s youth to challenge gender roles and stereotypes” project took place in Gyumri, at the Women’s Rights House.

During the meeting, gender inequality and its impact on society, as well as stereotypical approaches in social, educational and political spheres were discussed.

The aim of the project is to engage young people in addressing and challenging unwanted gender norms, empowering them to be advocates of change in their communities, and becoming ambassadors for change.

The project is implemented with the funding of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan .
