On December 3, the “Mari” performance took place at the Gyumri Drama Theatre.
The performance was shown within the framework of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, held from November 25 to December 10, focusing on violence against women and girls.
The play “Mari” is based on real stories of people who applied to the Women’s Rights House, drawing parallels with Hovhannes Tumanyan’s poem “Maro.”
It touches upon both visible and invisible issues — domestic, physical, psychological, economic, sexual, and digital violence, as well as early marriage, labor rights, and other related topics․
The performance aims to raise awareness, develop sensitivity, and unite society in the fight against violence.
