Within the framework of the “Mobilizing Women for Economic Empowerment” project , a self-help group was formed, the purpose of which is to activate the women and girls participating in the project and involve them in the process of solving community problems.This week, the first meeting of the self-help group was held on the topic “Principles of participatory research”.

During the meeting, was discussed if how community residents can get involved in community problem-solving processes and how important participation is in community decision-making.

The meeting was held by Armine Mkhitaryan.

The project in Shirak region is implemented by the joint efforts of World Vision Armenia – Վորլդ Վիժն Հայաստան and the “Women’s Rights House” NGO.

The project is implemented within the framework of the “Economic Empowerment of Women in the South Caucasus, Phase II” project, which in turn is implemented jointly by United Nations Women and UNDP in Armenia.
