On January 27, within the framework of the “Engaging Shirak’s youth to challenge gender roles and stereotypes” project, we held a series of courses for 16-30 years old young people in the Akhuryan community.

During the meeting, the speakers talked about important topics, such as:
1․ “Gender inequality, stereotypes”
2․ “The impact of gender inequality in social, economic and political spheres”
3․ “Political participation. gender inequality at home, at workplace, in educational and other systems”
It’s worth to remember, that the aim of the project is to engage young people in addressing and challenging unwanted gender norms, empowering them to be advocates of change in their communities, and becoming ambassadors for change.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan.
