Within the framework of the “Engaging Shirak’s youth to challenge gender roles and stereotypes” project we held our last meeting of this year in Maralik. Trainers spoke on important topics such as:
1․ “Gender inequality, stereotypes”
2․ “The impact of gender inequality in social, economic and political spheres”
3․ “Political participation. gender inequality at home, at workplace, in educational and other systems”
Stereotypical approaches in social, educational and political spheres were discussed with the participants.
The aim of the project is to engage young people in addressing and challenging unwanted gender norms, empowering them to be advocates of change in their communities, and becoming ambassadors for change.
The project is implemented with the funding of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan.
