Media.am Interview: Discrimination and Hate Speech Against Women in Armenia

In an interview given to Media.am, the President of the Women’s Rights House, Karine Davtyan, addressed the issues of discrimination against women and the spread of hate speech in Armenia.
According to her, women engaged in public and political activities are often targeted not for their work, but for their appearance, personal life, marital status, and even their clothing. At the same time, hate speech is often confused with freedom of expression, although these are fundamentally different concepts.
Addressing these issues requires not only legislative changes, but also cultural and educational transformations
