Self-defense training courses

With the support of the European Union, self-defense training sessions were conducted for forcibly displaced women from Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of the “Human Rights with and for Refugees” program.

During the sessions, participants had the opportunity to learn physical and psychological self-defense techniques, develop physical strength and reaction speed, as well as acquire essential principles of situational awareness and personal safety.

The training contributes to increasing women’s confidence and self-esteem, while also ensuring a safe environment.
The “Human Rights with and for Refugees” program is implemented with the support of the European Union by the Foundation for Development of Democracy, the Estonian Refugee Council, the Coalition Against Violence Against Women, and Commit Global. The program is aimed at supporting and empowering individuals displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh by raising awareness of their rights, as well as providing information about available services and opportunities.
